The RAMD (radioactive material detection) Hump is designed as a Portable Covert RAM detection in vehicles. The Hump can be fitted with a number of different detectors dependant on the situations requirements. In the standard form it is supplied with the with a robust GM detector.  The GM is robust and offers sensitivity of ~1uSv/hr at contact with the detector.  The unit is supplied with a standard 7M cable without loss of signal enabling the unit to be run to a vehicle or kiosk for monitoring. It is possible to have cable lengths out to 100m.
