Model 52-1-6 Vehicle Beta/Gamma Radiation Portal Monitor

The Model 52-1-6 is designed for detecting beta/gamma contamination on vehicles. Six highly sensitive plastic scintillation detectors are arranged in two towers of three detectors each, permitting thorough scanning when operated in a stop-and-count mode. The instrument can also be used in quick scan mode as a drive-through portal monitor.

Model 272D Digital Remote Display/Annunciator

The Model 272D Digital Remote is a remote status instrument for the Ludlum Model 375 series of Area Monitors. A large four-digit LED (light emitting diode) display shows the current radiation reading from 0.1 to 9999 in the same display units as the Model 375. The Model 272D also shows the current status of the Model 375. The LOW ALARM, HIGH ALARM, SYSTEM OK, and DET FAIL status indicators are all provided. The audio has a toggle switch that allows the audio to be enabled or disabled. A pushbutton RESET switch allows the alarm on both the Model 375 and the Model 272D to be reset.

Model 52-1 Portable Portal Monitor

These units allow the rapid screening of large numbers of persons in the event of radiological incident.

  • Easily assembled in a few minutes.
  • The case easily fits in an estate car.
  • Sensitive to both gamma and beta emitters.
  • Easy to use and understand.

Model 52-1B Portable Portal Monitor

The Model 52-1B is a new design with enhanced beta response. The window which is normally two layers of heavy duty aluminium foil and 1/32 of vinyl has been replaced with 1.2mg/cm aluminised mylar.

  • Portable
  • Plastic Scintillation Detectors
  • Assembles or Disassembles in less than 5 Minutes
  • Carrying Case Included

Model 52-5 Personnel Portal Monitor

The Model 52-5 Portal Monitor is used for Beta/Gamma personnel contamination monitoring and meets the FEMA standard for Emergency Response Portal Monitoring (FEMA-REP-21). It is designed to be disassembled for ease of transportation and storage, and can be set up in under 5 minutes or less without any tools.

Model 53 Personnel Gamma Portal Monitor

The newly designed Model 53 Gamma Personnel Portal is used to detect gamma radiation in or on personnel passing through the portal from either direction This highly sensitive portal utilizes eight large plastic scintillation detectors and is shielded with either 2.5 cm (1 in.) (standard) or 5.1 cm (2 in.) of lead. The user-friendly interface guides personnel through the monitor via its automated voice prompts, and is accompanied with 22.9 cm (9 in.) color LCD articulating screens presenting the instrument readiness and status at the ingress and egress to the portal.

Model 52-8 Outdoor Portal Monitor

The Model 52-8 is a weather-resistant portable scintillation portal monitor used for beta-gamma radiation monitoring of vehicles, as well as monitoring of personnel. Two plastic scintillation detectors, one per side, are housed in weatherproof, dust-tight, impact-resistant cases with wheels and tow handles.
